Birdeye doesn't publish prices. Their pricing page says "Contact Sales." Here's what I found from third-party research — with sources dated to May 2026 — so you can walk into that sales call knowing what the number will be. Before evaluating any review tool, it's worth having your review link set up first: the free Google review link generator takes 30 seconds.
Why Birdeye doesn't publish pricing
Birdeye's pricing opacity is a deliberate business decision, not an oversight. Their sales team negotiates pricing individually — pricing is influenced by number of locations, contract length, add-on features, and how hard a buyer pushes in the negotiation. Annual pre-pay is required for the advertised rates; month-to-month pricing is not publicly available.
For a single-location service business, this creates a real problem: you can't evaluate whether Birdeye fits your budget without entering a sales process. You're negotiating blind.
The opacity also benefits Birdeye by making direct price comparisons difficult. When pricing isn't public, it's harder for potential customers to compare costs against Podium's published $399/month or Hosted Reviews' $29/month.
The three published tiers (sourced from third-party research, not Birdeye directly)
Source disclosure (mandatory): These prices are not published on Birdeye's website. They come from Wiser Review's Birdeye pricing breakdown and Reviewflowz's analysis of what Birdeye really costs, both as of May 2026. Treat them as approximate and subject to change. Birdeye may offer different pricing in your specific negotiation.
| Tier | Approximate price | Key features |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | ~$299/location/month (annual pre-pay) | Reviews AI, Listings AI, Messaging AI |
| Growth | ~$399/location/month | Adds Social AI |
| Dominate | ~$449/location/month | Adds Chatbot AI |
| Premium (4+ locations) | Custom — sales call required | Enterprise rollup, custom features |
What's included (and not included) at each tier
Included across all plans (Starter through Dominate):
- Automated review requests via SMS and email
- AI-generated review responses
- Unified inbox: SMS, webchat, Facebook, Instagram, Google messaging
- Listings management across 250+ directories
- Mobile app
- Unlimited users and contacts
- Negative review intercept flow (funnel screening) — customers who give low ratings are routed to private feedback
Additional cost or add-on territory (based on user reports and third-party research):
- Social AI is Growth and above only — not included in Starter
- Chatbot AI is Dominate only
- Bulk/mass texting campaigns reported as additional cost per Capterra reviewers
- Enterprise integrations (Salesforce, Tableau-level) are custom-tier features
- Annual pre-pay required for advertised Starter/Growth/Dominate rates — month-to-month pricing not advertised
What a single-location cleaning company would actually pay
Sample calculation for a single-location service business on the Starter tier (per Wiser Review and Reviewflowz estimates, as of May 2026):
- Starter tier: ~$299/month × 12 months = $3,588/year, pre-paid upfront
- No credit bucket issues — SMS is included in all plans without a monthly send cap
- Setup timeline: Days to weeks — Birdeye onboarding involves integration configuration, directory syncing across 250+ listings, and team training
For comparison: Top Care Cleaning runs Hosted Reviews at $29/month — $348/year. The core use case is SMS review requests with a funnel screen. Birdeye Starter provides the same core use case plus listings management, social AI (on Growth), and multi-location infrastructure — but at roughly 10x the cost for a single-location operator.
If you need listings management across 250+ directories, Birdeye's price starts to make more sense. If you only need SMS review requests and a funnel screen, you're paying for a platform that goes well beyond your use case.
What real Birdeye users say about the price
G2: 4.7/5, 4,031 reviews — Capterra: 4.7/5, 703 reviews — as of May 2026.
Birdeye has the largest review count of any tool in this category on G2 — 4,031 reviews at 4.7/5. The ratings are genuinely strong. The complaints, however, are consistent:
- "Very expensive — pricing is the #1 complaint." G2 review summary, Joe C.
- "AI responses feel robotic and impersonal." Summer C., G2
- "Bugs and outages; mass texting campaigns are clunky and costly." Multiple Capterra reviewers
- "The automation of review requests saves enormous time." Multiple reviewers (a genuine Pro)
- "Centralizes all customer communication in one place." Multiple reviewers (another genuine Pro)
The pattern is clear: Birdeye works well for users who use most of the platform — centralized comms, listings management, AI review responses at scale. It frustrates users who expected a simpler review collection tool at a lower price point.
Who Birdeye pricing makes sense for
Birdeye is genuinely useful — and its price is more defensible — for:
- Multi-location businesses managing 4+ locations who need a single dashboard for reviews, listings, and customer messaging across all locations simultaneously. This is Birdeye's stated ICP: dental groups, franchise chains, automotive dealers, real estate agencies.
- Businesses where listings management at scale is a real operational need — 250+ directory sync across all locations takes weeks to set up manually without a tool like Birdeye.
- Operations with dedicated marketing staff who will use the AI review responses, social scheduling, and campaign tools daily.
- Franchise operators or businesses with incoming enterprise buyers who need the reporting infrastructure for multi-location performance benchmarking.
Single-location SMBs: You're likely overpaying relative to what you'll actually use. The Starter tier at $299/month gives you review requests, listings management, and messaging — but the listings management and messaging features have cheaper alternatives, and the review request function alone is available for $29–$75/month from Hosted Reviews or NiceJob.

| Podium | $399–$599/month | Yes — 10DLC | No |
Frequently asked questions
Does Birdeye offer a free trial?
No free trial is publicly offered per Birdeye's pricing page as of May 2026. No freemium tier exists. You'll need to go through the sales process — including the pricing call — before accessing the platform. This is a real constraint if you want to evaluate the product before committing to an annual pre-pay.
Is Birdeye pricing per location or flat?
Per location. Based on third-party research from Wiser Review (as of May 2026), Birdeye's Starter tier is approximately $299/location/month on annual pre-pay. A 3-location business on Starter would pay approximately $897/month. At 4+ locations, pricing moves to a custom "Premium" tier requiring a sales call.
Can I negotiate Birdeye pricing?
Almost certainly yes — the pricing opacity exists precisely because Birdeye negotiates individually. Common leverage points include: number of locations, contract length (multi-year agreements tend to reduce per-month cost), and competitive alternatives you're actively evaluating. Going into the call with Podium and Hosted Reviews pricing in hand gives you a specific benchmark.
What's cheaper than Birdeye for a small service business?
For SMS review requests with funnel screening: Hosted Reviews at $29/month. For zero-touch automation with native Jobber/HCP integration: NiceJob at $75/month. For a more mature funnel design at a mid-tier price: Grade.us at $110/month (Solo). None of these include Birdeye's listings management across 250+ directories — that's the one feature where Birdeye has no direct low-cost alternative.
Does Birdeye charge more for multi-location businesses?
Yes. The per-location pricing model means costs compound directly with location count. A 5-location business on Growth pays approximately $1,995/month based on third-party research from Wiser Review (as of May 2026). At 4+ locations, Birdeye moves to the custom "Premium" plan — pricing is sales-negotiated and not estimated in public third-party research.
